Chocolate Orange Marble Cake
We’ve got a sweet tooth this weekend and have created this delicious Chocolate Orange marble cake… made with our Absolute Organic cacao powder, you’ll absolutely want to give this one a try!
Ingredients
- 225g Absolute Organic Unsalted Butter
- 225g Absolute Organic Coconut Sugar
- 225g self-raising flour
- 4 large organic eggs
- 2 tbsp Absolute Organic Coconut Milk
- 3 tbsp Absolute Organic Cacao Powder
- 1 large organic orange – both the zest and 2 tbsp orange juice
- 50g Absolute Organic Dark Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Pre heat the oven to 180C. Grease and line the base of a tin (we used a circle one) with coconut oil or baking parchment.
- Whip the butter, sugar, eggs and flour together in a large bowl with an electric whisk or in a food processor until well combined. Next split the mixture into two equal parts, adding the milk and cacao powder into one. Add the orange juice and zest, into the other.
- Then start to spoon dollops of each mix into the cake tin, layering the orange and cacao flavours – and run a skewer through the mix to create a marble effect.
- Bake for 45 minutes and then leave to cool before removing the cake from the tin. Lastly melt some of the chocolate chips in a bowl and drizzle over the top – finish with option extra orange slices for decoration!
