What’s in season for December – Yey! Who loves summer raise your hands!!! 🤚🤚🤚
Welcome hot temperatures, swimming at the beach, barbecues, juices and ice creams! 🥵
In fruit this month, Lychees show themselves. This easy to peel white-fleshed tropical fruit has a sweet floral flavour. Delicious to eat on its own or eaten with ice cream. Yum!
Apricots, Nectarines, Peaches and Cherries are all abundant this month. Keeping the stone fruit lovers happy.
Kensington Pride Mangoes are plentiful too, with their delicious smell and taste. Perfect for those hot days we have.
Melons are in full swing this month – Watermelon, Rockmelon and Honeydew – making a perfect medley of refreshing colour in a fruit salad.
Blueberries and Strawberries are also abundant, bringing their berry goodness.
Pineapples keep us feeling tropical and show themselves throughout the month. While Menindee Grapes may appear at the end of the month.
Still available – Valencia oranges, limes, lemons, paw paw, bananas, Hass Avocado.
In vegetables, plenty of Tomatoes – Cherry, Roma and Round – to keep us going this month.
Roasting them brings out their deliciousness and drizzling them with a little Balsamic Vinegar gives them an extra zing!
Celery is standing strong this month, keeping it crisp and fresh, Lebanese Cucumbers are fighting for the limelight too with their clean green freshness.
Capsicum and Eggplant are showing themselves. Scooped out and stuffed with delicious fillings, then roasted makes them a nice difference as a meal.
Green Beans and Zucchini are part of the green team of vegetables this month. With Cos lettuce keeping it leafy.
Sweet Corn and Onions are also here, ready for the barbeque or grill.
