All about Quinoa

Organic quinoa is the little grain that awakens people’s curiosity for being such a nutritious, complex and delicious food. It is very easy to cook with, and it is characterised by a fluffy texture and a nutty taste. This versatile grain can be added to many dishes and eaten cold or hot. This grain is also special due to its high protein and mineral content, and for providing all essential amino acids – something which is very unusual in plant-based foods.

Production Process

This grain grows in places with temperatures below 32°C in countries of North and South America, such as Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, and Canada. The grains are ready for harvest when the leaves have fallen and only the dried seed heads remain, which can be simply stripped off the stalk. After harvesting the seeds, they are simply cleaned with screens, dried and stored in a cool place.
