All about Coconut Amino Sauce

What are the harvesting and growing process of the coconuts?

Coconuts are organic by neglected. They are endemic and grow all around the Davao region in Southern Philippines. There is no need to use GMO coconut seeds because they easily grow around the Philippines. We harvest the coconut sap every 4-5 hours throughout a 24 hour period, 7 days a week. This process is slow and to make it sustainable, we regionalise the tapping of the flower buds to give it ample time to grow.

How is the blending of the ingredients?

After a series of testing and filtering, the ingredients are cooked and mixed during the evaporation process, which makes the sauce more dense and brings all the flavours together.

What’s the difference between Organic versus conventional coconut aminos?

Organic: All ingredients utilized are from an organic source, no GMO-ingredient used, which in turn does rely on foreign chemicals, instead of grown 100% through natural means. The farm uses biodynamic techniques to ensure organic waste is used to benefit the farm in some way or another.

How do Filipinos consume coconut aminos?

Filipinos consume coconut aminos during cooking; they usually use it as a traditional marinade or as a ‘sawsawan’ – dipping sauces, usually with sliced chillies, sliced tomatoes and sliced onions.

Organic Coconut Amino Sauce

Building Blocks For Your Body

“We love flavour, but not at the expense of our health. That’s why our Organic Coconut Amino Sauce contains all natural ingredients with no added sugar or enhancers. The key ingredient is the nutrient-rich sap of the coconut tree, which is high in amino acids. A nutritious alternative to soy sauce, Coconut Amino Sauce contains a natural umami flavour – that elusive fifth taste. It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit sour, slightly salty, with a light bitter zing; perfect for savoury dishes, stir fries, salads, marinades or as a simple dipping sauce.”

What are amino acids?

“Amino acids are naturally occurring in the body, and are responsible for the make-up and function of many cells, muscles and tissue. Commonly known as the ‘building blocks’ of protein, amino acids play an important role in how your organs function, repair damage and remove waste from your system.”

Why do we need them?

“Sometimes your body’s amino acid pool is low, which can lead to weight gain, interrupted sleep, hair loss, skin disorders and even diabetes or cardiovascular issues. Consuming natural amino acids can help transport and store nutrients in the body; heal wounds and assist with the repair of muscle, bone, skin and hair. Coconut aminos are also lower in salt and completely free from gluten and soy, which makes Absolute Organic Coconut Amino Sauce a healthy alternative to soy sauce.”

What are the other benefits of this range?

“The products are all also: Gluten Free, Dairy free, soy free, GMO free, Vegan, paleo friendly, no artificial ingredients, no preservatives, no cane sugar, supports Australian owned factory.
